Wyatt Palmer is the protagonist and narrator of The Worst Class Trip Ever. At the beginning of the story, he is in eighth grade at Culver Middle School and lives in Miami with his family. Wyatt’s mother is Cuban, and he describes her as being loud and opinionated. He is especially afraid of getting into trouble because of her fiery reactions. As he admits, “Basically she said she was going to kill me and ground me and take away my Xbox for the next three hundred years” (31). By contrast, his father is depicted as more easy-going.
